During the matches, the union contract between the NYC hotel industry and the union representing the region’s hotel workers, the Hotel & Gaming Trades Council, AFL-CIO, is set to expire. While we hope that the industry agrees to a fair contract well before the expiration date, there is a distinct possibility that there will be strikes, pickets, and lockouts at some New York City hotels.
